We blessed Megan today. She wore the same little dress that I wore (and my sisters) and that Caelan wore. She was very good during the blessing (quiet and content). Grandpa Dick and Grandpa Sorensen were able to be a part of the blessing. She was blessed by Dad. He blessed her with health and strength and that she would know how much her family loves her and that she would be a good influence. Then he blessed her that she would follow her Grandma Sorensen's example in living a life like the Saviors and that she would feel a closeness with her (Her middle name is Julia - named after Grandma Sorensen). He was pretty choked up as he blessing her and I was a bit of a mess in my seat. It was a very special blessing....and I could feel that my Mom was hearing it. Grandpa Sorensen later mentioned what a special blessing it was. We enjoyed a housefull that afternoon. We ate roast and all the fixin's. All of the Dick family had been at the house for several days before (we spent Thanksgiving together at our house) and they all said their goodbyes the next day. Grandma Dick had been there to help since Megan was born (what an angel). The Sorensen clan stayed for a few days after the blessing.
